Hooks are generated fresh for every request and are yours to use anywhere. Your topic is sent to the model and not stored.

The first line does most of the work.

What is a hook?

A hook is the first thing your audience reads or hears, and its only job is to earn the next sentence. On a blog post it is the opening line, on a short-form video the first spoken words, in an email the subject line. Readers decide in seconds whether to keep going, which makes the hook the highest-leverage sentence in the whole piece.

What makes a hook actually work

Specificity and an information gap. A working hook names something concrete (an audience, a number, a mistake, an outcome) and opens a loop the reader wants closed. If a hook could sit on top of any other article, it is not doing the job. The generator is prompted to fail that test on purpose: every line has to be specific to your topic.

The six mechanisms it draws from

A sharp question, a surprising fact or number, a contrarian claim, a mistake the reader is making right now, a specific outcome, and a short story opener. Each generation mixes mechanisms across the set, so instead of five variations of one idea you get genuinely different angles to test.

Getting the best output

Treat the topic box like a creative brief, not a keyword field. Say who the audience is, what the content argues, and what you want the reader to do next. "Email marketing" gets generic lines; "why home-service companies lose Google Ads budget to unqualified leads, for owners who run their own campaigns" gets hooks you can ship.
