Landing Page Agent
The Landing Page Agent tracks form submissions on your website and uploads them to Google Ads as offline conversions. It captures the GCLID from the landing page URL and associates it with the lead data submitted through your forms.
How It Works
- A visitor clicks your Google Ad and lands on your page with a GCLID appended to the URL
- The visitor fills out a form on your landing page (contact form, quote request, demo booking, etc.)
- Adscriptly captures the form submission along with the GCLID and user-provided data (email, phone, name)
- The conversion is uploaded to Google Ads, linking the offline action back to the original ad click
Setup
Create a conversion action
From the Conversions dashboard, click “Add New Conversion Type” and select Landing Page / Form Submission.
Install the tracking snippet
Adscriptly will provide a JavaScript snippet to add to your landing page. This snippet captures the GCLID from the URL and attaches it to your form submissions.
Map form fields
Map your form fields to Google’s enhanced conversion data fields:
- Email — most reliable identifier
- Phone number — secondary identifier
- First name / Last name — additional matching signals
Set a conversion value
Assign a value to each landing page conversion so Google’s Smart Bidding can optimize for revenue, not just volume. See the Calculating Conversion Value guide for help determining the right value.
Tip
What Gets Sent to Google Ads
- GCLID — links the conversion to the original click
- Conversion action — the named conversion event in Google Ads
- Conversion value — the monetary value you assigned
- Hashed user data — email, phone, name (hashed for privacy)
