Mailchimp + Google Ads

Webhook or ZapierLifecycle marketing

Turn a Mailchimp lifecycle event into a Google Ads outcome.

Send the audience, tag, campaign-response, or commerce milestone that matters through a webhook or Zapier. Apply the eligibility rule and preserve supported paid-click attribution before the event reaches Google Ads.

Intended outcome

Use a specific Mailchimp milestone instead of treating every audience update as a conversion.

Connection scope

This is an event-to-conversion route. It does not replace Mailchimp advertising features or synchronize every audience member.

What the connection does

Choose which Mailchimp events to send to Google Ads.

01

Receive Mailchimp events

Bring the selected audience, tag, or commerce event into Adscriptly through a mapped webhook payload or a Zapier workflow you control.

02

Choose the lifecycle rule

Define the audience state, tag, campaign response, or commerce event that represents a real business outcome.

03

Map the click identifier

Include the supported Google Ads click identifier stored with the contact or order when click-level attribution is required.

04

Review the Google Ads output

Choose the Google Ads account and conversion action, inspect the mapping, and test the external handoff before enabling it.

Setup

Set up and test the Mailchimp event route.

  1. 01

    Choose a Mailchimp trigger

Start with the audience, tag, or commerce milestone that represents the business outcome you want to route.

  2. 02

    Send a test payload

Use Zapier or your webhook sender to deliver representative fields, including mapped contact or order click id when attribution depends on it.

  3. 03

    Map the qualification rule

Choose the state, tag, or event that counts. Keep records that do not meet the rule out of the advertising signal.

  4. 04

    Review the Google Ads destination

Confirm the conversion action, account, event time, and value rule before the external handoff is enabled.

Connection controls

Review the connection method, event rule, and destination.

  • The connection uses a mapped webhook or Zapier route; it is not a native source integration.
  • Mailchimp must send the fields used by the mapping.
  • An audience or commerce event needs supported attribution data before it can become a click-linked upload.
  • The Google Ads destination is reviewed before the handoff is enabled.

Integration FAQ

Before you connect.

How does the Mailchimp Google Ads integration work in Adscriptly?

Adscriptly receives a mapped Mailchimp event through a webhook or Zapier, applies the configured rule, and prepares the eligible outcome for the selected Google Ads destination.

What must Mailchimp send?

The payload must include the event fields used for qualification and a stable event identifier. When click-level attribution is required, it must also include the supported identifier captured before the handoff.

Does this sync a Mailchimp audience into Google Ads?

No. The route sends only the selected lifecycle or commerce event that meets your rule and carries the fields needed by the Google Ads conversion workflow.

Does Adscriptly change records in Mailchimp?

No. This route receives the mapped event for qualification and delivery. It does not edit the source record, workflow, audience, catalog, or storefront configuration.
